SUMMARY:Life as It Is! – a Family Friendly Community Retreat
DESCRIPTION:Come up and join us for a warm community weekend of mindfulness for adults and children. We will explore some of the joys and challenges of walking a spiritual path in the midst of our lives – with families, in community, at work. Let’s support each other to strengthen and discover how to live well with things as they are.\nThis weekend provides space for family practice, adult practice as well as children-focused sessions. The rhythm for the weekend will include a morning gathering to practice together, family friendly forest walks, times for sharing and conversation, short periods of silent eating, and inclusive games.\nBy simply exploring the thread of presence together, with a focus on the shared learning we find in community, we can experience contentment and enrichment in our ordinary spiritual lives.\nEverybody is welcome to attend this weekend.\nThe course is facilitated by Louise Petzold, Kath Mitchell, Mark Schrader and Jane Hobday. They are experienced practitioners who have been connected with the Wangapeka Study and Retreat Centre (and each other) for many years.\nCosts\nCosts include all food, accommodation, cooks fee and a small resource fee. Facilitators are offering the course on the basis of dana / koha.\nAdults\nMembers $175\nNon members $195\nChildren\n4 years and under No charge\n5-13 years $60\n14 and over $175\nWe try to keep our costs as low as we can.\nIf cost is an issue the Wangapeka has a Sangha Support Fund to assist with accommodation costs for adults and children. Please contact the caretaker to apply: wangapekacentre@gmail.com ( wangapekacentre@gmail.com )\nFor more information about the retreat contact the course manager Louise Petzold: louise.petzold01@gmail.com ( louise.petzold01@gmail.com )\nTo register please fill out our online registration form\nRegister now\nIf using Paypal please add 5% of the total cost and include with your payment to cover Paypal’s fees – many thanks.\n*Please consider becoming a Wangapeka member – click here for details.\n\n \n
