SUMMARY:Life As It Is (2024) With Louise Petzold, Chani Grieve, and Louise Perzigian – FULL
DESCRIPTION:A family friendly community retreat\nFriday 4th October 5pm – Sunday 6th October 3pm\nThis retreat is now FULL. Please contact Louise louise.petzold01@gmail.com ( mailto:louise.petzold01@gmail.com ) to go on the Waiting List.\nFamily life is demanding on every level. It can sweep us up in its constant push and pull, where tending to our inner lives and the deeper impulse towards freedom is often put off for later.\nAnd yet there is nothing like our concern for our families and children to deeply motivate us towards healing and liberation, not only for ourselves, but for all present and future generations.\nHow can meditation practice and a deep commitment to contributing to a healthier, saner world share space with the joy and chaos of family life?\nAnd how can we learn to not see them as separate in the least, but as part of the same precious life’s opportunity that we have, right here, right now?\nLife As It Is offers families a unique chance to pause, to sink into connection with each other and the earth, to feel into and attend to what is most important in our lives.\nTogether we will practice how to weave our inner and outer lives together, infusing them with our deep heart of aspiration for ourselves and for our world. We will be supported by the teachings of Buddhadharma – insights and methods that are as relevant today as ever – that help us build confidence, contentment, and the capacity to meet with whatever arises with our whole being. In this way we find true refuge right here in the lives that we have, supporting and strengthening ourselves, our children, and all beings with whom we share this Earth.\n \nThe weekend will consist of group practice time, fun and explorations, children’s activities and space to be immersed in the oasis of calm that the Centre and the whenua offers.\nThe weekend is facilitated by Louise Petzold, Chani Grieve, and Louise Perzigian who are all committed practitioners weaving the deepening enquiry of dharma with family and community life.\nChildren’s activities will be facilitated by Nyima Petzold.\nFor more details contact louise.petzold01@gmail.com ( mailto:louise.petzold01@gmail.com )\nCosts include all food and accommodation, and a small resource fee\nMembers: $198\nNon- members $218\nChildren:\nUnder 4- free\n5-13yrs $46.\nFor assistance with accommodation costs please\ncontact wangapekacentre@gmail.com ( mailto:wangapekacentre@gmail.com )\nCosts do not include Dana for the facilitators. Louise, Chani and Louise offer their time and skills freely. You are invited to make a Dana offering, from the heart, according to your means.\nTo register please fill out our online registration form\nRegister now\nIf using Paypal please add 5% of the total cost and include with your payment to cover Paypal’s fees.\nPlease consider becoming a Wangapeka member – click here for details.\n \nLouise Petzold\nChani Grieve\nLouise Perzigian\n
