DESCRIPTION:It is with considerable sadness that we have to announce that this retreat has been cancelled.  For more information please email us at: insightnelson@gmail.com\n\n\n\nInsight Meditation Retreat at Wangapeka Retreat Centre 17 – 22 September, 2024\n \nAcross the universe there is only giving and receiving. \nAll we have to offer, and all that is required, is our kind attention – a form of love.\nOn this retreat you will investigate the simplicity of this unfolding moment. \nGuided by the ancient, reliable Dharma teachings and supported by silence, \nyou begin to recognise your intimate connection with all things.\nThe knots of confusion and resistance start to dissolve, and there is the capacity \nto engage with the difficulties, joys and sorrows of this world without getting overwhelmed. \n \nCOST: REGISTRATION + DANA\nRegistration\nWangapeka Members:   $ 540         ( camping $ 460 )\nNon-Members:               $ 590         ( camping $ 440 )\nThis covers comfortable accommodation and delicious vegetarian meals, as well as teachers’ travel.\n​A deposit is required to complete your booking, the remainder due ten days before the retreat.\nDana for the teachers\nIn keeping with ancient Buddhist tradition, the Dharma teachings are given freely, in the spirit of dana. Dana is a Pali word that means generosity, and this is the foundation attitude for practice. In our modern world, dana may take the form of monetary offering.
