SUMMARY:Dancing from the Heart of Loving Kindness
DESCRIPTION:Dancing from the Heart of Loving Kindness\nWith Kataraina Walker and Kath Mitchell\nFriday 24th July 5pm to Sunday 26th July 3pm \n \nIn this weekend retreat, we will explore how to cultivate Loving Kindness, Compassion,  Joy and Peace through gentle moving and seated meditations. This will be a silent retreat where you allow yourself, and each other, time to be quiet in our safely created spaces.\nKataraina will lead us in the dances of the sacred feminine.  We will move our bodies, to express prayers of aspiration, to reveal our natural, warm and open hearts.\nKath will offer the heart-centred Loving Kindness meditation and the creative meditation on the Four Immeasurables:  Loving Kindness, Compassion, Joy and Peace. These practices are nourishing, healing and enlivening. They help us deepen our connection with these precious qualities that are already within us.\nAll are welcome to come to this retreat as it is suitable for beginners and those with experience.\nKataraina Walker\nKataraina is a lifelong dancer and teacher with 45 years experience. Her philosophy that we all enter this world as lovers of movement, underpins her teaching methods to encourage each of her students to trust the journey of unfolding to the music and guided movements.  She has taught people from all walks of life, ages and abilities and loves to share her joy, that through dance, we can experience our mind, body and soul in harmony.\nShe feels privileged to be offering these profound Moving Meditations\nKath Mitchell\nKath has been practicing Dharma for 38 years and offering classes and retreats for 15 years.  She feels deep devotion and gratitude to her Teachers. Through their ongoing support, she has some experience of the transformative power of meditation, as a path of freedom and liberation. This exploration continues to be her life work.\nCosts\nCosts cover:  Food, Accommodation, Cooks Fee and Resources\nMembers: $218 plus Dana*\nNon-Members: $238 plus Dana*\nDana\nDana simply means ‘Generosity’ and ‘Freely Given’.  It is a gift from the heart, and opens the giver to receive the Teachings.  It is a profound practice that is the basis of all spiritual development.\nKataraina and Kath offer this course freely.  There is no teaching fee included in the costs above.  We invite you to offer Dana to them, as an expression of your appreciation and generosity.  A gift of Dana will support them to continue teaching.\nInformation and Registration\nPlease Contact Kath Mitchell with any further inquiries kath@wangapeka.org\nTo register please fill out our online registration form\nRegister now\nPlease consider becoming a Wangapeka member – click here for details.\nMain Image: courtesy of Kevin Feller.
