SUMMARY:A Light in the Dark With Chani Grieve
DESCRIPTION:A Light in the Dark\nMovement, Meditation, and Creative Enquiry\nWith Chani Grieve\nFriday 27th November – Tuesday 1st December\n \nIn this increasingly dizzying and distressed world, as the threads of cohesion are pulled and tested in every direction, we humans have a precious opportunity, and a responsibility.\nWe are pōtiki, the last-born. We are still young, still learning.\nAnd yet, as the only species on planet Earth capable of Awakening, what are the gifts and potentialities we carry? What is it that we, uniquely, have to give?\nBody, Mind, Awareness, Love. \nThis Life, on This Earth. \nCan we be a blessing for the world?\nOur journey to freedom starts with the body. It offers a down-to-earth yet immediate way to connect with ourselves and align with what is real. A light in the dark, our bodies show us exactly where we are, and also the next step we need to take along our path. They are also the doorway to our entire individual, ancestral, evolutionary and planetary history, revealing the story of how we became, what we are, and what is possible for a human life.\n“You need go no farther than your own body to understand the universe” – Namgyal Rinpoche\nWeaving together movement, meditation, art and science, in this retreat we will enter the studio/laboratory of our own human experience. Join us as we embark on a restorative, creative, experiential and illuminating journey to discover a light in the dark, for the benefit of all.\nIn this retreat you will be supported by :\n\nGentle movement sessions for liberating the body\nGuided meditation, suitable for beginners and those with experience\nCreative enquiry and contemplative explorations of the theme\nSkilful guidance and the emergent wisdom and experience of the group\nIndividual and collective practice, with ample time for rest\nDelicious vegetarian meals and snacks\nThe healing beauty and aliveness of the Wangapeka whenua\n\nThis retreat is suitable for adults of all ages. It may be of particular interest to those in the healing/education/environmental/scientific/creative professions, people with health challenges needing a gentle, attuned and embodied approach to healing, and anyone curious about how the body can guide our natural unfoldment into wisdom and compassion.\nFor all enquiries please contact chani@movementfromtheheart.com\nAbout Chani :\nChani Grieve was born into a dharma community in Tasmania, and has been a dedicated practitioner of meditation and body-centred modalities for over 18 years, sharing her experience since 2012. She graduated from the 4-year Feldenkrais Professional Training Program in Melbourne in 2013, and has been weaving movement and meditation together ever since. Chani is passionate about sharing with people the power of working with the body to liberate our creativity, joy and full potential, by accessing the natural laws of growth and unfolding encoded in our bodies. She is a mum to a 4 year old daughter, and is committed to weaving the deepening enquiry of dharma with family and community life.\nCosts :\nUnit/Hut\nMember $410\nNon-member $450\nCamping\nMember $326\nNon=member $338\nIncludes accommodation in a single unit or hut, all meals and snacks, a cook’s fee, and a small resource fee.
