Tiwaiwaka- caring for mauri and sustaining all of life
Friday 10th July 5pm- Sunday 12th July 4pm
Ka ora te whenua Ka ora te tangata
When the land is well the people are well.
We are all part of an interconnected mystery. The seen and unseen forces. The micro to the macro, all weave to give rise to ever changing forms and experiences. Our source of life depends upon Te Whenua Papatūānuku and a web of connections that sustains life. If Papatūānuku is well, all living things will be well.
Tiwaiwaka is a guide, showing us how we care for this web of connections, contribute to the wellness of Papatūānuku and care for the mauri of all things. In this way, the land is healed as are the people.
At Wangapeka Retreat Centre, an oasis of retreat, dharma and practice for over 50 years, the supportive conditions for healing are present. Change can often be seen in both the people and the land. We are subject to trees falling, rains, slips, new growth and opportunity, coming into being and passing away of all things.
This weekend of Matariki presents us with incredible opportunity to come together, to mark the potent time of Matariki. Guided by Pa Ropata Rob McGowan to more deeply understand about Tiwaiwaka, we will rest into the ground of practice of Wangapeka Retreat Centre, and be supported by the great mystery of interconnectness.
Everyone welcome.
