Nau mai, haere mai, welcome to our 2020 Labour weekend working bee! This is a chance for our community to come together and offer dana to our Centre. Everyone is welcome! Enormous generosity from countless beings has enabled the creation and maintenance of this precious Centre, and so it continues with the help of many hands.

Remembering Namgyal Rinpoche:  10am Monday 26 October

Two of our Elders, Keith Rowan and Bonni Ross, will korero/converse together freely. Everyone welcome.

Labour Day Monday 26th October 10:00 am

Ven. Namgyal Rinpoche taught and empowered many of the Wangapeka Teachers and Community. He inspired into existence the Wangapeka Study and Retreat Centre. On October 22 2003 in a cottage on the shore of the Bodensee in Switzerland the great teacher we knew as Namgyal Rinpoché died at the age of 72.

To mark this occasion we have invited two Wangapeka Elders who were deeply influenced by Namgyal Rinpoche, Keith Rowan and Bonni Ross, to have a conversation together. Korero will be free flowing between Bonni and Keith and will touch on themes relevant to us all as we try to live well in these uncertain times.

Time

10:00 am in the main hall.

The conversation will be followed by a lunch together. Gluten free (GF) and dairy free (DF) food will be available. There will be a dana bowl.

How to register for the korero

Please contact the Centre on info@wangapeka.org before Monday 19th October, saying that you will be there (for catering purposes).
