Service as the Path Community Celebration

September 28, 2024
9:30am to 5:30pm

Nau mai Haere mai!  Join us for a celebration to conclude Service as the Path 2024.

All are welcome–we would love to gather with young, middle, old, new and familiar–all beings who wish to come!

The Day

On Saturday we will weave both contemplative and celebratory times into the day.

9.30am Please arrive well before 10 am and gather at the main hall. We will leave from there and walk together, in harmony with the whenua, to the Whare Wānanga to sit.  So many of us come here, and are busy serving – so this is an opportunity to just turn up and sit, in the beautiful healing intent of our beautiful Whare Wānanga.

We may then walk the land together, and visit some sites.

And for lunch we will gather in celebration.  We will honour Mark and Kath – the anchors for Service as the Path.  The community gathered about six months ago at Glenn and Karen’s place to offer our support for their stay here – and now let’s gather again to say thank you, and offer our blessing for their return to everyday life.  We will also be happily remembering everyone else who came for Service as the Path – and the many others who supported it.

The afternoon will be a playful celebration of Service as the Path, and a joyful and creative time of connection with all present.

Maybe there will be some talk about Wangapeka, Service as the Path, and what next …?

Requests:

  • Please bring some food for a potluck lunch – labelled so we know what things are and gluten and dairy free if possible.
