Notice of AGM and Hui

Come for a day, come for the whole weekend!

The Annual General Meeting weekend is an annual community event and there is no charge. There will be an opportunity to offer Dana for food and accommodation, and to our volunteer cook, Lily.

It is a great opportunity to enjoy fellowship with the Wangapeka sangha, share some dharma practice and reconnect with the Centre in an easeful way after what has been a difficult twelve months for many. Saturday will be a good opportunity to show some practical support to caretaker Jacinta too.

The Wangapeka is a peer group for many of us and this is a good chance to catch up with friends in a familiar and sometimes cosy fireside setting.

Programme :

Friday 29th 6.30pm dinner and an after dinner sharing so people can check in on how they have been doing over the last year.
Saturday 30th 9.00AM Kath and Mark will lead a meditation practice.
There will be free time to check out the nearly completed conversion of Mike’s workshop help out with your choice of some practical work, go for a walk and there will also be time to enjoy fireside chats over cups of tea or coffee.
After dinner, Cashy will lead a discussion on Wangapeka and the future.
Sunday 31st The Annual General Meeting starts at 9AM in the Main Hall.
The AGM will receive reports from the Board and its sub-committees, the financial statements for the previous financial year, and the financial plan for the current financial year. The meeting will also elect or re-elect Trust Board members.
The AGM runs for approximately an hour and a half, and the weekend concludes with a shared lunch.
