Support for Danielle, who lost everything in a house fire

“I just want to say thanks to everyone who offered me support and donations when I lost everything in a house fire last month. It’s been a big and dramatic learning in trust and surrender, and on receiving such unexpected support I find I’m not grieving for anything that I have lost. I aspire to be worthy of the kindness and generosity I have received and hope that I can return it many times over. Thank you!!” – Danielle.

Dear Wangapeka and Nelson Sangha

Danielle Lomas – who has been caring so generously for the vegetable garden at Wangapeka Retreat Centre and who has been a wonderful cook on many of our retreats – had a fire at her rental home in Riwaka last Monday.

She lost absolutely everything and did not have insurance. So she is in the process of starting over, one day at a time. She lost her brand new stock of NZ hand crafted wooden garden hoes which she had invested her savings into and which she was about to launch as a unique NZ agricultural business.

She is now living in temporary accommodation in Motueka. She has food and a few clothes and her car.

If you would like to donate some money (any amount would be helpful) to Danielle, please pay it into the Wangapeka account. Our account is:
03 0703 0156597 03 (Westpac – Wangapeka Educational Trust)

and we will see that it gets to her a.s.a.p. Please be sure to use the reference ‘Danielle ‘

Please do forward this e mail onto anyone who you think might also be able to support Danielle.

Thank you very much
