Chenrezig Meditation Retreat with Mark Schrader [Fully booked – waitlist option]

Chenrezig Meditation Retreat: 4 days (or 2-day weekend option)

Friday 31 July (5pm) to Tues 4 Aug (2pm)

This retreat is now fully booked; if you would like to be on a wait-list please contact the Course Manager Kath Mitchell  mitchell.kath@gmail.com

This is an experiential meditation course that focuses on developing compassion for both oneself and for others. Both beginners and those wishing to deepen their practice are welcome to attend. Each day we will practice together as a group as well as having space for participants to practice independently. During the retreat we will touch into a variety of themes such as: Refuge – where is my place of safety?, Wholesome livelihood – what is an ethical life?, connecting into one’s heart-felt aspiration – what is it that is really important in my life?. Questions arising spontaneously from those attending will also be explored. As a way of supporting participants to deeply benefit from the retreat there are periods of silence built into the course.

Chenrezig Meditation – this is a Tibetan Buddhist practice that embodies the union of wisdom and compassion. It is an exploration of rich symbolic imagery and sound that enables us to connect deeply with these two qualities of wisdom and compassion within ourselves and therefore in others. The facilitator, Mark Schrader, is an experienced teacher who brings enthusiasm, creativity and care to the retreat. It is the 7th year that Mark has offered this course at Wangapeka.

The course is limited to 14 participants so registering early is advisable. There is an option of attending just the weekend rather than the full 4 days —please enquire.

COSTS

Non-members: $368* (plus dana) for the full 4 days (or $195* weekend only).

Members: $328* (plus dana) for the full 4 days (or $175* weekend only).
