Bodhi Seeds Retreat 2020 – 7 days at the Wangapeka
Bodhi Seeds Retreat 2020 – 7 days at the Wangapeka Study & Retreat Centre.
Tools for The Great Turning. A deeper dive in meditation and community for young adults (age 18-35)
18th – 26th November 2020.
Why come to this Retreat?
We are facing the collapse of the natural environment and challenges to our old social and economical structures. There is a need for active hope to participate in and support wholesome communities, where integrated and mature human beings contribute for the birth of an interconnected, response-able culture.
“Do not look away. Do not avert your gaze. Do not turn aside. This teaching clearly calls for radical attention and total acceptance.” Joanna Macy
We are offering the cultivation of insightful awareness as a primary capacity to realise interbeing and build wholesome communities that cooperate in the thriving of earth’s life and it’s beauty.
What is the focus?
This is a Vipassana/Samatha retreat with the increasing attention on the cultivation of tranquility. Tarchin Hearn offers an image of Samatha as…
“standing completely firm: solid and unshakably present in the midst of whatever is arising.” The Cycle of Samatha, https://greendharmatreasury.org
We know that this unshakable faith in the midst of whatever is arising is medicine for the world we are living. It is from this place we may glimpse life inspiring insight into the true nature of our belonging. We will be emphasising gentleness, body work and integration through all of the senses and moving modalities.
Who is walking beside you on the path?
The retreat is blessed with three facilitators, Jaime Howell, Juliana Griese and Andy McIntosh. It takes place in the beautiful and supportive environment of the Wangapeka Study and Retreat Centre.
