He Ngākau Hou: A Meditative and Creative Retreat for Young Adults

The Art of Question

December 11-18th 2016

What is it to be in a state of question? How can one hold question skilfully? Playfully? Wisely? Is it possible to ask a question in our hearts without seeking answers?

In this transitional stage of life, and with a lot of uncertainties in the world politically, ecologically and technologically, how can we approach these unknowns with a mind/heart of question? How can we take challenges and explore them with curiosity without necessarily seeking an answer?

Together we will discover how to hold this state of question and provide everybody with an opportunity to offer their unique skills and insights, to encourage the spontaneous growth and development of the course. This course is facilitated, but the vision is for all participants to collectively develop the exploration, as a group, and discover together what could emerge from an open space of collective question.
We will explore meditation, creative expression, periods of silence, group communication and collaborative methods to share our ideas, concerns, skills and talents. Built into the course is a group work project as a way to keep costs affordable and to support the beautiful Wangapeka Retreat Centre.

Course cost is $250. This covers food, cooking and resources.  Facilitators give their time and teaching freely.  However, you are welcome to offer them Dana (Koha/Donation).

This course is suitable for people 18 years (minimum) to 30ish.  The course will be limited to 15 participants so registering early is advisable.  People attending will need to commit to the whole period of the retreat.
